5472filing.com is a PDF prefill and IRS fax service operated by Moonbeam Catcher LLC ("we," "us," or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share information when you use our service. By using 5472filing.com, you agree to this policy.

2. Data We Collect

Account Data

When you create an account, we collect your email address and, if you sign in via Google or Apple OAuth, your name and profile email as provided by those services. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.

Filing Data

When you create or edit a filing, we store the information you enter into the forms. This includes but is not limited to:

Company name, Employer Identification Number (EIN), and business address
Foreign owner name, country of incorporation, and address
Transaction amounts and descriptions reported on Form 5472
Tax year and filing period information
Any other data you enter into the filing form fields

This data is sensitive financial information. We treat it with care and store it securely (see Section 7).

Fax Transmission Metadata

When you submit a fax, we log metadata about the transmission, including the destination fax number, transmission status (e.g., sent, delivered, failed), timestamps, and any status messages returned by the carrier. We do not store the fax content separately after transmission — the source data is your filing record.

Usage Data

We use Vercel Analytics to collect anonymous, aggregated page-view data (pages visited, referrers, device type). This data cannot be used to identify you individually and does not include your filing data or account information.

3. How We Use Your Data

To authenticate your account and allow you to sign in securely.
To save and retrieve your filing drafts so you can return to them later.
To generate pre-filled IRS Form 5472 and Form 1120 PDF packets based on the data you provide.
To transmit your completed PDF filing packet to the IRS via fax on your behalf when you request it.
To send you transactional emails (e.g., password resets, fax status updates).
To improve the service using aggregated, anonymous analytics data.

We do not use your filing data for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than operating the service.

4. Data Storage

Your account and filing data is stored in a Neon PostgreSQL database — a cloud-hosted, managed database service that encrypts data at rest and in transit. Authentication sessions are managed by Better-Auth, which stores session tokens securely. Our servers and databases are located in the United States.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services to operate 5472filing.com. Each has its own privacy policy governing how it handles data:

Google & Apple OAuth

Used for sign-in only. If you choose to sign in with Google or Apple, we receive your name and email address from those services. We do not receive your password or any other account data.

Telnyx

We use Telnyx to send faxes to the IRS on your behalf. Your completed filing PDF is transmitted through Telnyx's infrastructure to the IRS fax number. Telnyx may retain transmission logs per their own data retention policies.

Vercel

Our application is hosted on Vercel. Vercel handles web traffic routing and provides anonymous analytics. Standard server logs (IP addresses, request metadata) may be retained by Vercel per their infrastructure policies.

Neon

Neon is our cloud database provider. Your filing and account data is stored in Neon's managed PostgreSQL infrastructure, which is encrypted at rest and in transit.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information or filing data to any third party. Data is shared only with the service providers listed above, and only to the extent necessary to operate the service. We may disclose data if required to do so by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.

7. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including:

HTTPS encryption for all data in transit
Encrypted-at-rest database storage via Neon
Session-based authentication with secure token handling
Access controls limiting who can access production systems

No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account has been compromised, please contact us immediately.

8. Data Retention

We retain your account and filing data for as long as your account is active. If you wish to delete your data, contact us at the email below and we will delete your account and associated filing records within 30 days. Some data may be retained in backups for a limited period before being purged.

9. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

Access the personal data we hold about you
Request corrections to inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Object to certain processing of your data

10. Changes to This Policy
